★☆☆☆☆ We ordered take out and were told to pick it up in 20 minutes. We arrived in 30 minutes and still had to wait another 40 minutes. The ambience might be nice but the service is unacceptable. Posted on February 13, 2016 |

★★☆☆☆ I visited Tikki Tikka a couple of weeks ago with my friend from out of town. It has a great homey ambiance, service is good, and owners very nice. The buffet has 6 main entrees: kheema, dahl or lentils, vegetable curry, butter chicken, vegetable samosa, and tandoori chicken. Additions are vegetable rice pilaf, raita, salad, spicy papadum. Chutneys are limited and include tamarind sauce, and a coriander yogurt based sauce. The buffet was filling even though variety slightly less than other typical buffets (no lamb, pakoras, paneer, mixed pickle, mango chutney, or gulab jamun). The naans could be more fresh as this is normally an indian buffet highlight. The tandoori chicken seemed baked and fairly mild. As dessert, the kheer was good and different. Raita also good. This is a decent place for those who do not have access to Indian food on a regular basis. Vegetarians would probably find that variety is limited. Posted on April 13, 2006 |

★★★★☆ This would be a nice place to go with your husband/wife. The food was more like hearty Indian home coooking than fine Mughlai cuisine - but that was fine with me. The restaurant's ambiance is really nice. Although it is located in a pretty unremarkable strip mall facing Canadian Tire, once inside the decor helps transport you somewhere else. Attention has definitely been paid to making the restaurant seem upscale yet warm. There are hanging candles throughout and candles on every table. Decor is a little like Pottery Barn meets Pier 1. I called a couple of times before going and each time was assured that the restaurant serves halal meat. It does, however, serve alcohol, so if this is an issue for you, you'll want to avoid it. On the food front - I ate from the buffet, which was quite large. I had the most amazing pakoras - I would return to this restaurant for these alone. I had never had one's like that before, I think they used corn meal along with the besan. But anyway, they were very light, crunchy and flavorful. Judging from her name the owner is a non-Muslim Indian. She is very friendly and inviting and the staff are very attentive. Those of you in Mississauga will be able to find it easily. Coming from Toronto, I took the GO train to Clarkson and then walked just a block and a half south to the restaurant. I've been thinking of hopping on the GO train again, just to get at those pakoras. Posted on March 17, 2006 |

★★★★★ FANTASTIC. Delicious food, spotless restaurant, wonderful service. The buffet only under $10.00. The best samosas and naans I've had in a long time. Delicious kheer and Mango Lassi. Posted on February 2, 2006 |
