★☆☆☆☆ Food quality is bad and does not taste Mexican. This is not a family friendly resturant. Also, after we sat down we were told that they don't have a credit card machine but we can get money from the arm machine inside the resturant. Would not recommend and wouldn't go again. ★★★☆☆ This is a halal Mexican restaurant that also serves hookah. The atmosphere is decidedly not family friendly due to the smoke and seedy atmosphere. Parking is available on the street, but this is Astoria so leave the BMW E30 M3 at home.
While Mexican halal is a novelty, the food here is not particularly memorable and is perhaps slightly overpriced. Overall, there are better (non-Mexican) options. 3/5 stars for quality, 2/5 stars for value. Posted on June 30, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ Diner beware! They serve cold and mediocre food. On top of that they had a very slow waitress serving us and she had the audacity to charge our party of two people a tip of 20% which she certainly did not deserve. When asked about it she said it was the restaurant policy and she wouldn't let us talk to the manager. This place follows unscrupulous practices and should be further investigated. ★★☆☆☆ The food is average. Not the best halal mexican i've had but the prices are too high. We ordered 4 main courses for my mom's birthday and our bill came out to be close to $80. Not worth it IMHO. Posted on April 12, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place doesn't even deserve 1/5. Let me rephrase that it shouldn't even be on this website. We went on a Friday night, and the atmosphere was disgusting!! There was people drinking all over, music was obnoxiously loud and there were people dancing all around the booths... We left ASAP! I really think this restaurant should be taken off zabihah. And don't recommend that anyone go here! Posted on December 1, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Decor is as good as any Halal restaurant I've been to. However, all the hookah smoking in the dining area is a turn off for me. Also, the first few times we visited this place the food was AMAZING! Unfortunately, the food has gotten progressively worse every time and the portions smaller. Overall still a great experience for the Halal eater who can't generally enjoy Spanish food. Posted on May 30, 2012 |

The decor is fantastivc but the lights are kinda dim but oh well. Ohh yeah and on sat they have dj and belly dancers untill 3 am. Everyone must go to this place!!! U will def. love their food. ★★★★★ This is one of the best mexican halal restaurants done in class and detail all the way down to the food. The chicken is tender and their skirt steak looks like there has been care put to the dish. The drinks are fresh with no artificial flavoring, smooth as it goes down, you'd probably think you're in Mexico! I had their cinnamon hookah and I was hooked. When you go to the restaurant, ask for Ramsey and say "the Prince sent me". He will take good care of you guys.
FYI: they have the resident DJ for Fridays and Saturdays and might be having bellydancer shows as well (pretty dancers *stressed*) Posted on December 28, 2011 |

★★★★★ By far, this is the best halal Mexican restaurant I've been to. The lighting seemed a bit dark but overall very nice decor. The spicy wings were amazing and so was the guacamole. The virgin margarita was ok. Loved the chicken quesadilla and the steak burrito as well. You can taste the freshness in the food. I'd def go back again! Posted on December 14, 2011 |

★★★★★ Salam everyone...There are a ton of halal restaurants now a days, but lets be honest, most are not even above average. I've been eating and searching for new and exciting halal food for almost a decade...this is the BEST halal food I have ever had!! From the decor, to the excellent service, to this out of this world food...this restaurant is a MUST!! Also, the owner servers strictly zabihah halal so halal "eaters" rejoice!! I tried their steak fajita and crispy wings...both were the best dishes I have ever had...I chose the steak fajita..it came sizzling off a wooden plate with 3 tortilla pitas on the side...basically you create your own fajita with a sauce on the side!! The owner mentioned that the steak is angus beef!! They pruchase their meat from one of the best halal farms in the US (this is what the owner said)...and let me tell you..that steak was the best I ever had!!! The wings were amazing!! Not too spicy but just the right crisp!! Overall, the price was a bit on the expensive side, but lets face it, if you are getting FANTASTIC food...YOU WILL PAY ANYTHING!! There menu selection is also HUGE...from paellas to grilled chicken. This restaurant is a MUST!! I will be going back there again this weekend and I can't wait!!! Posted on December 13, 2011 |
