★☆☆☆☆ I'm not sure how can someone trusts a so-called halal place while they sell Alcohol which is clearly HARAM!!! Posted on September 4, 2018 |

★★★☆☆ Very good food to the point where we took the menu to order delivery.
Disappointed when we noticed they offer ALCOHOL on request so will not trust them again. Posted on December 29, 2017 |

★★★★☆ Very nice and clean place, big with many tables. Food was very good, but not spicy. The grilled lamb was the best! Prices reasonable. Will definately come back! Posted on June 23, 2014 |

★★★★★ Two words -- amazing food!!
Visiting DC from Dallas, TX and found this place on Zabiha. Absolutely scrumptious BBQ with great sides and naans. While everything we ordered was great, Chopan Kabob (lamb chops) are to die for!! Posted on June 28, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I ordered 'Famous Gyro'. The gyro itself was good however, they put a white cheese which was extremely salty which made it difficult to eat. I also got chicken dish as a side that came with gyro. The chicken was too spicy. However, overall environment was good and clean. Thy gyro was given in fresh paratha which made it tasty. ★★★★★ My friends and I drove over from DC for some good Afghan food and, let me tell you, this place did not disappoint. First, the neighborhood is amazing. It was a pleasant walking around in. It isn't often that you see a halal restaurant in a nice area (maybe it's just my experience lol in NYC).
We walked in and the owner greeted us and was very welcoming. He suggested we try the lamp chops along with a side, some rice, naan, etc. (you can choose from several sides). The meat was absolutely amazing. It was so well-marinated that our minds were being blown for all 20-25 minutes that we were eating it. We thoroughly enjoyed that meal. Suggestion: the eggplant is good, if you're willing to try it. The Afghan Naan is also amazing! Finally, the owner even came around and poured everyone tea, on the house!
Before I forget, the decor is quite decent. They can even accommodate large groups, it seems.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I wish we had something comparable, in terms of service and dining style, in NYC. Posted on October 25, 2011 |

★★★★☆ great afghani food! the kabobs are moist and well marinated and the rices are really well seasoned. I love the fact that afghan food isn't super smelly or spicy. The place is pretty enough to bring your guests to. I would definitely go again when I'm in the area! Posted on April 28, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Good food, cheap prices. Got the Meat Lovers and the Jewel of Persia. Both were a little bit of lamb under one of four rice choices with a choice (or 2) of side. Unlike most similar food, it's not too heavy and your clothes don't smell for the rest of the day. Portion sizes on the meat are smaller but the sides and rice are larger than the standard. ★★★★☆ A solid place to eat with good food, however I give it 4 stars out of 5 because I found the portions to be small. I ordered a combo plate with seekh kabab (on the menu it is listed as Shami) and chicken kabab. It comes with three sides, however most of the sides were bland w/o spice. Kabob Palace is still the better choice with much larger portion sizes and a true restaurant ambiance for the same price, however Afghan Kabob House is a very good choice as well. You pick up the food when it is ready, all utensils are paper products. They don't serve fountain soda drinks and only serve tap water. That was kinda weird. Parking is a great challenge. You will have to find parking on the street. Wilson Blvd. is real busy on any night. Despite the above issues, I still give it 4 out of 5 because the food was tasty. Posted on October 20, 2009 |

★★★★★ Great Food and service. Portions are extremely large. Posted on October 14, 2009 |

★★★★★ The kabobs I have ordered have always been moist and tasty and the side dishes are numerous and freshly made. Although the platters are not cheap, the portion sizes are huge. I have been here several times and would definitely return! Posted on September 14, 2009 |
