★★★★☆ The have a separate menu which is clearly marked halal and it’s run by Muslim family. The serve burgers, hotdogs and shakes. We were happy with the service provided. Posted on July 7, 2018 |

★☆☆☆☆ They are not full halal!! They cook halal and non halal together and you need to ask for halal. They don’t have a sign that says ask for halal, so please don’t claim you are full halal. Every time I have gone I noticed after they over charge which I didn’t care but to sell people food and when they ask for a refund because it’s not halal you don’t give it and you tell that is horrible customer service!!! Never returning here again! Food isn’t worth it! Posted on June 5, 2018 |

★★★★★ I tried Lamb Gyro and Dandy Beef Burger. Very good Femont Mirchi style burger and taste. Price is also reasonable.
And BTW everything is halal here. Owners are Muslims. And Halal is labeled on their menu as well. Posted on July 9, 2016 |

★★★★★ I loved it. Masha'Allah great burgers! Posted on August 28, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ The food was not that good. The hot dog was not even warm. The bun was nice and soft. The condiments were skimpy. The wait was really long. There are not enough items to choose from. Posted on August 15, 2014 |

★★★★★ I have eaten here quite a few times in the past and my food has always been served very well. The last meal was a double cheeseburger with fries and a soda. It was delicious. The service has always been wonderful and the restaurant w
has always been clean. Posted on September 26, 2013 |

★★★★★ Been here a few times and they always give me the special Halaal menu book. I usually get the burgers which is always delicious. Friendly owners run the place, clean restaurant, and quick service. Posted on November 1, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Not everything served is halal, however they do have a separate halal menu. The cheeseburger was good, but the hot link was superb! this place gets pretty busy and seating is fairly limited. When ordering, ask to see the halal menu. Kinda tucked way inside Livermore, but I recommend if in the area. Posted on October 15, 2012 |

★★★★★ We are quite sad that the tracy location closed. The Livermore location has a separate halal menu - plz ask for that. Chicken burger, beef burger, hot dogs, fries, and onion rings are awesome. Service is quick. Have lots of parking. Posted on January 16, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Verbal assurance from staff that NOT all items they serve are Halal. They have Halal Burgers, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Strips. I did not ask about the hot dogs. I tried the burger and fries meal. The burger was pretty good and the fries were very tasty. Friendly service. Will have to come back here again to try the shakes and floats. ★★★★★ Just like it's Tracy location this place is incredible. They are the only places that serve Zabihah Hot Links and Corn Dogs, in addition to other traditional American cuisines. The food is prepared well and very affordable. The place is very neat and clean and the customer service is top of the line (something that lacks at most Zabihah places). If you haven't been here yet you are missing out. ★☆☆☆☆ I unfortunately went to this place with my kids based on the prior ratings from others. What a HUGE disappointment. We waited a really long time for our halal burgers which were below average. The brother at least did mention that they have halal and non-halal items.
Time just stood still....service was ok, but i don't know how they make any money because this place was not even anywhere close to fast food. The only positive was that the shakes were great!
Won't be going back. Posted on April 16, 2009 |

★★★★★ Halal Burgers! What more could anyone want! I have been wanting a place like this for a long time. A halal place that serves good old fashioned American food. And Dandy Dogs does it just right! We ordered the double cheeseburger and fries, the hot link with saurkraut onions and mustard and fries, and the kids chicken strips and fries. Although we ended up with too many fries, we ate them all up, because they did their fries just right. Crunchy and soft inside, and not too "mealy." The burger was charbroiled which is quite a treat, and cheese was generous and melty. The hot dog was just lovely. Huge, spicy hot link with all the trimmings that I prefer, on a soft warm bun.
The one thing I have to commend the owners on is when I had made my large order, the owner (young boy) asked me personally, "are you ordering halal?" I said yes, and then he told me which items they have are halal. I thought that was very nice and that he cared about and made sure about the fact that I was going to eat halal. I think the owners are honest, nice people. They are working to get the whole menu halal.
Decor is really nice, they try to get that 50's diner feel there, with checkerboard print floors and murals on the wall, and coke glasses!
This is going to be one of my regular spots! Posted on August 28, 2008 |

★★★★★ Nice family owned place. Ask for the halal menu which is different from their regular menu. The halal menu consists of hot links, burgers, steak sandwich, chicken wings, and chicken strips.
Pretty inexpensive, good service, but the place was very hot inside. I enjoyed a steak sandwich and the garlic fries. Posted on August 24, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Yesterday, I was disappointed to learn that there was no lunch at the Livermore masjid – usually after Jumma we get community sponsored lunches to raise funds for the mosque. It’s something us bachelor types really look forward to, along with the free iftars in Pleasanton (whole other story). Regret turned into heartbreak but then on the counter, I spotted a Dandy Dogs flyer with the red halal labels in the background and the words “… tired of the usual Kabobs and Rice?” pasted on the caption. Although I’ll never get tired of the usual Kabobs and Rice, I thought why not check this place out, so a few bruddas and myself decided to venture a half mile from the Masjid down East Ave. The place has a pleasant retro appeal, with a classic diner interior and 50’s juke box music. The owners who were warm and welcoming also have similar restaurant in Tracy. Although not all the menu items are halal, they do serve halal hot dogs, burgers, New York steak sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and chicken strips. Please be sure to specify the halal menu when ordering. Overall, a wonderful little place, nice experience and luckily for myself, Dandy Dogs happens to be on my commute. Posted on April 26, 2008 |
