★★★★★ One of the few Halal "Fine Dining Restaurants" in the Bay Area. I tried the combination plate with chicken and beef kubideh kebabs with saffron rice and a grilled tomato. Also comes with thin flat bread, butter and onions. Everything was fresh and juicy. Plenty of seating inside and their is also a small banquet hall next door. The owner has made a concerted effort to make this restaurant alcohol free, which is very difficult to do, especially for fine dining restaurants. I urge our community to support this place! ★★★★★ Absolutely loved this place! It was my first time having dinner here, and certainly won't be my last. The warm and friendly service and special greetings from the owner himself make you feel like you're family. You don't get that kind of service at other Persian fine dinings. The owner told us that despite the fact that he has lost non-Muslim customers due to the fact that he doesn't serve alcohol, he continues to have hope that Allah will bring barakah to an establishment that maintains a strict no alcohol and 100% zabihah policy. I had the chicken kabob and beef koobideh - both were juice and so delicious! And to top it off, the house-made Persian ice cream with saffron and pistachio is to die for. Highly recommend this spot! NR I had dinner at this elegant place on Friday night with my family and it was great. It is one of the fine halal dinning places in the area. It was our first time and it will NOT be the last one. Not serving alcohol seems to be hurting them, so lets support this place and enjoy the great food that they offer. They also have a banquet hall for parties up to 100 people. It is conveniently located in the heart of tri-valley area, downtown Pleasanton. Posted on January 26, 2015 |

★★★★★ Our meal at Lotus Persian Cuisine was incredibly delicious. I highly highly recommend the Fesunjan, a chicken dish made with pomegranate and molasses. My friends and I were floored by how amazing it was. The owner was extremely polite and very enthusiastic about being halal. The meat here is even free-range and hormone-free! I couldn't give Lotus a higher recommendation! Posted on July 22, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Food was OK, service was lacking. I ordered the Royal Soltani plate with Beef Kubideh and Chenjeh. For $23.99 I was expecting to receive a hearty portion, however I was extremely dissapointed when I saw my plate. I received a below average size of Kubideh, and 4 measley morsels of Chenjeh -- hardly the $24 variety. Taste was simple. There was no butter, or sauce that accompanied my dinner plate, so the dried out kabab pieces with rice seemed even more dry when eaten. For a brand new, non-fast-food establishment such as Lotus, I was overwhelmingly underwhelmed by the taste of my food, the size of my food, and the lack of attentiveness in the service received. I'm not saying I will never return, I'm simply saying I won't return until such time, as evidenced by other reviews, Lotus drastically improves in service, food quality, taste, and portion size, respectively. Until then, this place is average. Posted on March 20, 2014 |
