The menus at this restaurant clearly state that Halal food is served. From the owners: 'Did someone say halal BBQ? Yes, you heard right! We will be opening up a new 100% halal BBQ restaurant right here in the Bay Area!'

★★★★☆ At long last, a halal BBQ restaurant in the Bay Area! Between our party of four people, we tried the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich; chile lime chicken burger; BBQ 1/4 chicken (i.e., leg and thigh); BBQ brisket sandwich; and "Kings fries" (cheese-covered Russet and sweet potato fries) w/ brisket. I think we all agreed that everything was very good. The staff solicited our opinions, which was nice, and we let them know we're anxiously awaiting the addition of ribs to the menu, which they said should be happening in the next 1-2 months. The venue is quite large and it is obvious that they are still ramping up operations (they did open just last weekend, after all). Overall, I give it 4 of 5 stars, which is as good as I think a new restaurant can get, and I look forward to revising this review down the line. I definitely look forward to returning. NR They're closed unfortunately. They are supposed to turn into a sit down Indian restaurant. Too bad- they served delicious American BBQ, a rare commodity in the halal food world. Posted on June 9, 2014 |

★★★★★ After visiting a great halal bbq joint in Orlando, Florida ( Charcoal Zaky) a couple of months ago, I was left pretty disappointed to find nothing similar in the the bay area. That was until I found this place. It is out of my way from San Jose but it didin't stop me. The smoked chicken wings here are to die for. I opted for the lava sauce on the wings and I think I made the perfect choice. The pulled briquet here was tender and flavorful. We also tried the beef burger which was good. The owner/chef was a nice man as well. It was a little pricy though but I will definitely be back asap. The steak is on the agenda for the next visit. Posted on March 23, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Definitely try out this halal place. The brisket sandwiches are delicious! I have eaten here with my family and everyone enjoys it. I am glad they did not make it an Indian fusion.....it is definitely strictly geared towards American BBQ. Food takes a little longer, but it is fine with me because of the quality. We like all the variety of sauces they offer. Great staff and plenty of space for seating. Posted on February 14, 2014 |

★★★★★ Outstanding pulled brisket and chicken sandwiches. Coupled with the BBQ sauces, this is the closest you can get to an American style halal BBQ place in the Bay area.
A little expensive ? Yes. But the quality of food is great and the combination of unique offerings and halal menu make it totally worth it Posted on December 1, 2013 |

★★★★★ Finally--something other than Desi food. I like that the menu is easy, nothing complicated. Because I go there so often, it is breaking the pocket book. I guess you have to pay extra for the new flavor in town.
I wish the place smelled like a smokehouse when you walk in, but because they use the ovens and not an outdoor smokehouse, we don't get to enjoy those wonderful spices!
Great for large groups--please don't let your kids run amuk in the place, just because it's large, please teach your children eating etiquette--it's only the right thing to do for other diners. (side note) Posted on November 16, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ Great food. Service was spotty and ambiance lacking. We ordered the King's Fries, Wings, and a brisket platter. The employee at the counter told us there was an hours wait for the platter. We decided to wait. After an hour, the employee said that it wasn't available after all. We paid and were fixing to leave when the owner offered complimentary brisket from a day's old batch. We accepted and he packaged it. We loved it! Though he asked us not to judge it because it wasn't up the usual par, it was moist and scrumptious. It was the reason we came and we will be back. ★★★★★ Ate there with my family shortly after it opened. The family that owns this is good friends with my sister in law. I enjoyed the brisket and chicken. The service was great and the place was very clean. I am going there agian tomorrow evening with my family and I look forward to trying something new. I wish the owners all the best because I think it is wonderful that people put their hard earned money and effort to provide restaurants where we can find good halal food to enjoy. ★★★★☆ I've been here several times. It's right next to my gym so it's a great post-workout place to get a bite.
The first time, I had a smokehouse burger with brisket, which was pretty good. But I didn't really like the appetizers, namely, the mac and cheese (I found it greasy).
I came back again, and the next two times, I had the BBQ chicken. Both times, the chicken was good.
The manager also came out to greet us and told us his larger plans, which sound really interesting. He said he might be adding TVs, a coffee bar, and some new desserts.
I think this place has a lot of potential. It has decent BBQ but the menu isn't developed yet, obviously because they're probably testing the market.
They also have a small prayer area, which is good.
So overall thoughts? Great potential, food is good enough.
Suggestions: They need to grow the menu, develop the ambiance, and have better side-dish options. Posted on September 8, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Owned by a really nice family from our masjid. We went there for iftaar and had a very pleasant experience w/ food/service.
As mentioned by other reviewer, they are still ramping up and very attentive to feedback.
I wish them the very best - will definitly return w/ family/friends. Posted on September 4, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I came here 3 times. First time they were closed for Eid (understandable). Second and third times they ran out of the food we ordered. Big disappointment! HOWEVER, the food I did try was delicious, including their house made BBQ sauces. I definitely will come back. I hope they will not be out of the brisket next time, because the little I tasted was very good. I will happily give a better review once I get what I ordered Posted on August 17, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ New restaurant in fremont next to where the old Market Broiler was. Smokehouse brisket sandwich was ok. Was a bit dry. The wings were very good. Overall the experience was average. I may return to try the cheeseburger. Posted on August 11, 2013 |
