NR while caught in traffic coming back from maryland our waze app brought us somewhere in southern nj. the zabihah app found this gem of a restaurant for us to eat at.
place is in a strip mall with ample parking. nice decor. the clientale that we saw was 100% non Muslim so the place doesn't seem like their bread and butter is Muslims.
We had the salad, the chicken korma, the lamb kabab, and a few chicken kababs. Also had mantoo and sambosas.
Solid food and it was filling. a bit on the pricier side $16-$21 for an entree. But they present themselves as more up scale. Owner was courteous and friendly. Enjoyed the food. If I am in the area I will return. Posted on July 13, 2015 |

★★★★★ The service in this place was outstanding The manager came to speak to me. My main course of curried goat was delicious, probably the best I've had so far in the USA. Highly recommended! Posted on July 14, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ I was in NJ area vacationing with my whole family. after reading the reviews we all went to ARIANA for dinner. It is in a shopping strip and looks old from outside but the ambiance is very nice inside. I told the lady behind desk to take our order but it took her 20 minutes to get to us. took another 30 minutes for 3 kabuli pulao orders. The food is as far from being authentic as far is Afghanistan from USA. I could feel the water in boiled rice and lamb was made separate not in the rice together. In daal order it was mashed so badly. The lady never smiled while serving us actually looked like she was in so much pain. Only good thing was salad that came before our food arrived but we only got 4 salads for 8 ppl. Total disappointment and waste of money and time and mood. ofcourse no tip was added to the bill because tip is for good food or atleast pleasent service. Posted on April 4, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Good home tasting food. Like everyone else has mentioned, portions are small and food is a bit pricey. Be prepaired to pay around $16 per entrée. Posted on April 23, 2014 |

★★★★☆ We went there at a non-rush hour and there was just one family before us, but it still took them 45 minutes to serve our food. It can be perceived as good as they might have prepared our food fresh or it may be because their chef is slow.
Food was good but not great and bit pricey too. In appetizers we tried their eggplant dish and were deeply disappointed as they were not cooked well and were raw from the middle. We ordered lamb with rice and chicken with rice and the portions were only enough for one person. Food was not spicy and little bland for our taste but overall I think it is a good place to go once in six months. Posted on September 23, 2013 |

★★★★★ Excellent food - It takes a while for service, I think they are more like a small family business, but their cooking is excellent, totally worth the wait. I think by now I have had almost everything on the menu and it is all delicious. Great Place, im glad i found it! Posted on July 21, 2013 |

★★★★★ initially I thought I was missing something after moving from Philly here. especially since I swore I was addicted to Kabul in Philly. To my surprise, I wasn't sacrificing much by not paying tolls every time we craved Afghani food. the saffron rice is a must! Posted on May 23, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Great experience! Had Iftar there yesterday, and although the food took 45 minutes to arrive after ordering, it was worth the wait. For appetizers we had the Bulanee Kachaloo, Aushak, and Sambousa. They came with two dipping sauces: one yogurt, and the other a green mint chutney. All were delicious! The ash soup was well seasoned, and flavorful. We also ordered a side dish of eggplant in yogurt and meat sauce called Burani Badenjan, which was tasty as well. For the main entrees, we ordered the chicken kabob platter, the Kefta kabob platter, and the Ariana kabob platter. You could adjust the heat level between mild to spicy. All meat dishes were cooked to perfection, and the platters came with fresh salad and bread. Ask for the white sauce on the side, which makes the dish over the top good! The best part was that everything tasted really fresh, and the service was friendly. Really enjoyed our meal, and will definitely be coming back soon! Posted on August 11, 2012 |

★★★★★ We've gone here a couple times and we love it. the portions are decent. They can fill up one person, but defi not enough to share, or even take some home. I've tried the chicken kabab and the kofta kabab and like them both. I am in love with their chutney that comes with the food, and their bread is amazing too. we go here once every few months. the restaurant's decor is nice too, its very traditional afghani, but still modern. i'd defi recommend this place to everyone.
