★★☆☆☆ I have been there a few times with my family. I never realized until last time that they have always charged me for my 2 yrs old when we had buffet there. Posted on August 6, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ We went there for an iftar buffet. When we went to pray in their store room, we were shocked to see mice running around freely in the utensils similar to the ones we were being served in.
In addition, they were short staffed and throughout the time we were there, the waitresses and the managers/owners were discussing their duty issues instead of taking care of their customers.
The number of dishes were also limited. Posted on September 3, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ My wife and I have eaten there 2-3 times since we move to the area. The food is good and hits the spot for indian food. Price wise it is reasonable. The service is slow and what you'd expect from a typical indian place. Regardless, we'll be going back soon enough. Posted on March 6, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ I dont know where to start at this point, I made a reservation over the phone with them and offered them credit card info which was rejected as it was not necessary. I travelled all the way from Southwestern Ontario to Canton Michigan to celebrate as my daughter started to fast this year. The night before I called and confirmed, then I called the next morning and I was told its ok and ready to go in an hour I recieved the message stating we have a big party to cater tonight and our reservation is cancelled. Manager called me back and stated since I hadnt given the CC info they couldnt hold reservation and secondly he was there the night before when I talked to the girl to make the reservation so he knew she had refused to take the CC info and guaranteed the reservation and also another employee confirmed the the next morning. But I guess they are true business people they will any of their things for a good price since my party was only 17 people they decided to ruin our day for their profit, so if they go and rot in hell I can care less but I will try and forgive their shortcomings once I am done with legal proceedings which I am going to look into tomorrow morning. ★★★★☆ The food is above average. We like their biryani. Chicken tandoori, tikka and kababs are OK. Its hard to find a good pakistani restaurant in Detroit, but this one is the best we've been to in this area so far. Posted on November 18, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place has definitely lost its magic touch. In 2005, they actually did our valima catering and everyone loved the food, however I think they have since then changed ownership several times. We just went there a few weeks ago and I must say the food was below average. The chicken was uncooked and the briyani felt like it was just mashed into a pot and cooked. Overall I was very dissapointed. The place is also very dirty and they have one person running around as the waiter for all tables in the restaurant. Posted on November 1, 2007 |

★★★★★ Very fresh items in the buffet, naan baked fresh to order, and the food is good. Incidentally, there is no difference between mild and medium -- both very bland (the medium is slightly darker green in color). The items in the buffet are fairly spicy.
They are very accomodating to families and didn't seem to mind children on the loose; my very young kids were not charged for nibbling on buffet foods. Posted on September 4, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ Tawa used to be an awesome place to eat-in or take out until a few weeks back. My wife and I used to go there quite often for dinner. My colleagues (goras') loved their Lunch Buffet and the 'naan bread'. Last week, I think it was the eve of Dec 26th, after having a busy shopping day, we decided to have dinner at Tawaa, we were told that the restaurant is now owend by a different person. We ordered our favourite 'the grilled platter' from the menu but waitress (she was new) told us that the chef can not make this selection. I think the chef was also new. We were so disappointed and left the place immediately. Posted on January 1, 2007 |

★★★★★ We also went for the buffet which was really good. Food was fresh and tasted excellent. Nans were freshly made and served warm. Good value for the money. Posted on June 18, 2006 |

★★★★★ I just visited this restaurant with my family and we found the food to be awesome. The prices are good too. The only problem is the limited and cramped space but the owner said they are including the adjacent store too. this will make it a very good place to eat. Don't forget to try their fresh Samosa. ★★★★★ Reasonably priced and the best biryani in Detroit! Posted on August 24, 2005 |

★★★★☆ Went there for a lunch buffet. Their weekday lunch buffet is $5.99/pp. There were about 10 dishes to choose from and the taste was pretty reasonable. Posted on February 14, 2005 |
