★★★☆☆ They don't have their own parking. They close at 3pm. They have a lunch buffet. I tried the chicken shawarma and it tasted about average. Was kinda dry and lacked flavor. Customer service is great. Prices are reasonable. The place is nice and clean. Posted on June 7, 2016 |

★★★★★ This is more than a buffet/dinner place.
Flavorful, clean, nice people, what else you will ask for.
Lunch buffet is extremely well at fine dining standard and many options.
Strongly recommend.
Each time İ am in Sacramento, this is my lunch place!
Thanks to all staff! Posted on August 20, 2014 |

★★★★★ Such a clean and welcoming environment. They are offering lunch buffet on fine dining quality.
Very central location and friendly staff.
The design of the place is must see.
Top picks are hummus, babaghannush, chicken kabob, chicken wing, and meat ball. Served with fine cut fruits.
At the end, espresso Turkish coffee.

★★☆☆☆ Went for the first time and not satisfied!
Restaurant is big, clean (dine in area only!), nicely decorated, and situated right in the heart of Sacramento downtown.
We were seated bu this girl and I think her name was Safa. We were ready to order and the girl saw it but instead of helping us she started to chat with these 2 guys seating on the other table! I even gave her the look several times but she ignored it.
Extremely overpriced and expensive menu items for the portion you get! I got Shish kabob for $19 or so, which comes with only 5 pieces of kabobs, some rice, and sauteed vegetables which I substituted for Humus and there was no extra charge for that. My wife ordered beef shawarma platter. Both entrees were just OK and nothing was special about them.
They do have lunch buffet for $12.99 or so but it is only from Mon-Fri within certain times in the afternoon. In addition, the buffet doesn't include shawarma and one other popular item
They do not have their own parking so you have to find and pay on your own which can be a hassle for some!
I used the restroom and it was dirty!
I am not going back after my experience. Posted on December 4, 2013 |

★★★★☆ We ate in Darna over the weekend. The overall experience was great. My friends and I enjoyed the Shish Kabob, Chicken kabob, Steak, and the Meditarian pasta. The portions were perfect. The rice and vegetables served with the kabobs were yummy. The chicken kabobs were succulent. The only thing that was negatively noticeable was the time it took to get the food. I personally was pre-occupied to notice, but when I looked at the watch, I started to wonder. The wait time alone will not keep me from eating here again as I really enjoyed the food. ★★★★★ Darna is a wonderful mediterranean restaurant. Darna is located downtown near the Crest theatre, so some may complain about the parking convenience, but I personally enjoy walking around this area. Inside, you will find a clean and well lit atmosphere. Great place to bring friends and families, lots of seating area. Alhumdoillah, my husband and I enjoyed everything here, and cannot wait to try out more on the menu. Their beef kabobs are succulent and juicy, not over dried like other joints. You are greeted with very friendly staff. The food speaks for itself, very delicious! And as for the assortment of desserts...decadently delicious! We tried the hazelnut and raspberry....more to try in the future haha! Thank you Darna for bringing Sacramento an upscale halal eatery! Posted on August 19, 2013 |
