★★☆☆☆ As a muslim don't like leaving negative review for a muslim business but want to be fair with the community or new comers. Overall food is good along with price is right. However the service is extremely slow. Not occupied to handle big tables. If u do come across similar situation, good luck! It may be another 45 min before u can even get a water. Inconsistency with the bread for the apetizer. Not very professional. No longer serve afghani bread. If u come at night, one better be equiped with the fflash light someone unknow Posted on August 24, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Went in to try their buffet and was very disappointed. the meat dishes on the buffet were empty & took minutes to replenish, same with the bread. The Vegetable dishes looked stale & cold. There were only about 4-5 families & yet they were unable to keep their buffet dishes filled at proper lunch time.
ideally if they cant maintain their buffet they should go back to al-la-carte which seems to be the source of all their good reviews, i would recommend avoiding the place if you want to try their buffet. Posted on May 12, 2013 |

★★★★☆ This place is run by Pakistanis but serves great food!! The food on a regular dinner is good but when you cater for a party its awesome!
Kudos to the owners Posted on March 28, 2013 |

★★★★★ I love Unaabi's cuisine. Mouth-watering and fresh! The kabuli pilau is to die for and so are the various types of kebabs. You have to try it to believe it. Liked the firni as well but you must have a sweet tooth for that. My absolute favourite would be the different types of bolanees. They taste AMAZING. Pumpkin, mince meat- yum! A must try. No complains with Unaabi's food.
The ambiance is cosy, almost perfect. Nothing over the top. Decor is fab, made to match the traditional theme (probably)
Can't wait to return.
Keep it up Unaabi Grill! Posted on May 1, 2012 |

★★★★★ One of my fav around RDU. Been here multiple times, the review was long due.
Still remember the taste of the beet kebabs ,yummy. Since my first trip in 2008, I visit this place every time I am in RDU, which 2-3 times a year. The ambiance keep getting better and the food A+ as usual. Excellent service, they listen to what you need and sometimes even if its not available, they will make some reasonable suggestions.
I have done my part and suggested this place to many colleagues and friends. Haven't received a bad review from any of them.
Go Unaabi !! Posted on June 18, 2011 |

★★★★★ I just visited here a week back, and MashaAllah what can I say?!?? Alhamdulilah, the food was gracious at such a fancy zabihah restaurant, here in CARY! My friends told me about them, and I can't say that I'm NOT impressed. Prices are really cheap for its kind, as most entrees are priced at $10-$15 which is pretty nice. I think the main allegation being made against Unaabi is that its owners are Pakistani. I think these guys should go out and read that it says their chef trained with the royal chef of Afghanistan and learned how to cook Afghani food! In terms of authenticity, Unaabi is as good as its predecessor, Afghan Kebab House which the same owners had in Times Square. Unfortunately, I've never been to that location, but I'm sure that its pretty crazy.
The Sambossa appetizer i ordered was a fried, triangular "samosa" like thing that had beef in it. Trust me, it is nothing like a samosa. Then we ordered the Chicken Naringe, which was a delicious medley. Our friends ordered various kebabs, but I think they were all good, especially the chicken!
The skeptics here who are complaining about authenticity and how the owners are paki need to be less racist, because criticizing the restaurant because of the owner's heritage is called discrimination. A french man can open a german bakery. Why can't a pakistani open an Afghan cuisine? Its practically the same thing. Grow up kids Posted on January 21, 2010 |

★★★★★ We recently had a party at Unaabi and totally loved it the way they handled it, everybody raved about it. Our lives have become so easy ever since this place is opened. I think we were missing authentic fine dining plus halal place to go here in Cary and Raleigh area. This is a highly recommended place to take your family for dinner, or celebrating any event with your loved ones. Food is superb and service is five star. I hope owners can maintain their commitments and standards. A definite five star rating!!!! Posted on April 22, 2009 |

★★★★★ 5/5 I would definately recommend this to anyone in the RTP area. So far as I have been to the place, friends have told me that people from OTHER STATES came to eat and went back delighted. The Kebabs are nice and juicy, and the bolanee is freshly made. The chef obviously has an experience in afghan food. Some may complain that it may be expensive, but comparatively to a steakhouse or something of that sort, the restaurant is reasonably priced in my opinion. "MalangZwak" who claims to be afghan, is just being too harsh. food is prepared differently at EVERY restaurant. If he complains its not 'authentic' lets see how great he can make afghan food for all of us. Haters like Malang will always complain to put other places down, and as a muslim, how is that even ISLAMIC? Alhumdulilah, the food is enough to please us all, and I highly recommend it.
