The Centre for Halal Standardisation and Certification was established in order to coordinate the territorial management of halal standards from various regions (Republic of Tatarstan, Perm, Sverdlovsk region, Tyumen region, Saratov region, Penza region, etc.) and to oversee the expansion of halal output from more than a hundred businesses and entrepreneurs (food, perfumes and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, clothing), and halal services (recreation, plastic and ritual medicine). In addition, the Centre focuses on:
- The coordination of the regional halal committees;
- Establishing uniform regulations;
- Establishing common rules, regulations and specifications for the various halal activities
- Organizing instructional support of halal regional committees;
- Absorbing lessons from the world experience of the halal industry;
- Formulating "Lessons Learned" for the halal industry in Russia;
- Training experts to meet halal standards
