★★★★★ Went from Dhaka to Houston via Singapore and Moscow. All moslem meals were excellent. Both European and Asian style meals comprising of either Beef or Chicken entrees. Meals were hot and they serve many snacks in between meals. Posted on January 4, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ Most halal menu in SQ are either with Indian food or Arabian food. It's better to combine with other international halal menu, so we wont get bored with the menu. Posted on November 17, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Hi..
to those who want real muslim meals, do request with the ticketing agent (same goes with all other airlines. i was given a muslim meal on Northwest Airlines) and they will have special meals for you in their manifest. some airlines do serve un-halal meats, so to be safe, request for a muslim meal when you fly!
i've never had the non-Muslim meals on SQ, but the halal meals are good. Posted on August 30, 2009 |

★★★★★ The halal food on SQ is excellent. No doubt you don't have a choice but nevertheless the food is good. I am a Muslimah who wears the Hijab but was also asked whether I would like some wine. When I politely asked the stewardess about this, they were told to ask every passenger above 18 as there are some Muslims who drink. So its a policy where everyone is asked. I don't feel offended as they are just doing their job.
But the halal food in SQ is much better than other airlines -MAS, Garuda etc. And they do comply with the Halal guidelines - meats are slaughtered according to ISlamic rites - not no pork no lard. Posted on April 5, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ the quality of muslim meal out of SIN is 5star! but not from other SIA destination eg.bkk or china, terrible!!! would rather prefer a seafood meal instead! assurance for a halal meal out of SIN is 100% coz they do have a muslim kitchen, but not to sure other station! especially out of non-muslim dominated countries and which do not have a proper kitchen for muslim food eg.MNL,CHN; Posted on November 29, 2006 |

★★★★★ I love the muslim meal on SIA. Very creative and delicious. I've flown with other airlines but for the past 5 years, if flying to asia, I only fly SIA. To the muslimah who was offered wine, I sure they didnt mean to offend you with that. There are many muslims out there who do/will drink wine, regardless of what they wear. Salaam. ★★★☆☆ I've talked to SIA staff from Malaysia regarding its halal/muslim meal and they told me the guideline is no pork, ham and alcohol. There are no guidelines as to whether the chicken/beef or other ingredient need to be halal. I normally get vegetarian meal if I fly SIA. Posted on October 20, 2005 |

★★★★★ Yes. Their halal food is good. I heard that they got it from caterer for Malaysian Airlines (which is 100% halal). Posted on October 10, 2005 |

★☆☆☆☆ Eventhough Im from Singapore, I hate travelling with SIA. First and foremost, the seats are cramp, and secondly, SIA failed to educate their staff..... I thought since Singapore is a multi racial country, they would have the decency to eductae staff on the different race and religion, but I was wrong. Im an obvious muslimah wearing a headscarf, but that didnt stop the stewardess from offering me some wine! The airline left such a bitter taste in my mouth, I was so offended I refuse to travel by SIA again. And you only get once choice at a halal meal. Why bother? Posted on October 8, 2005 |

★★★☆☆ The service was pathetic from Singapore to Chennai sector. It was good from Newark to Singapore. Even the infrastructure was the same (good from EWR to Singapore and bad from Singapore to Chennai). And THEY DISCRIMINATE against people from Indian sub-continent in Singapore. Be warned if you intend to take Sinagpore Airline to India. Posted on September 28, 2005 |

★★★★★ I traveled first-class (being on a modeling assignment!) The food was quite restaurant-like -- they served a filet mignon (I had mine rare!!), a vegetarian salad and sliced duck (cooked Chinese style). Posted on May 19, 2004 |
